Other: ** "Adopt a Family"...a note will come home on Friday [attached to weekly report]...our classroom has chosen to sponsor a family meal for Christmas. If you are able to send in a couple cans of vegetables, or other meal options [boxed or canned or $$ to purchase additional items that are needed to complete a meal], that would be great! **Weekly reports signed on the bottom and returned [sent home Fri.] *Cado $ ....Cado is a African girl that lives in the country of Zambia. Through the organization, World Hope International, my former classes have adopted Cado as a sponsor child. The cost is $34 per month and I ask each student, who can help out, to provide $1 per month. This doesn't cover the entire cost, but I'm able to make up the difference. We have a canister in the room with her picture and a small write-up about her family situation. There is no pressure to give, just an opportunity to make a difference with $1 per month [same as 10 pop bottle returns]. Thanks for your help.
